The Abominable Snowman Butler

Last year, I made a Krampus figure - which I love - but Krampus was not my "first love" of Christmas monsters. No, that title goes to that bouncing monster tamed by Yukon Cornelius in the 1964 stop-motion  Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie: The  Abominable Snowman (aka The Bumble).

My goal was to make a BIG Bumble. In the movie (spoilers!), Yukon Cornelius brings a reformed Bumble to Santa's castle at the North Pole and says that the Bumble needs a job. So, I thought I'd make myself a Bumble with a job. A Bumble Butler who could serve Christmas cookies. Luckily, I'd saved a sizeable bag of used wrapping paper from last Christmas with hopes that I could re-use it to make something cool. I added in some basic art supplies and scrap wood from my stash - the only thing I bought for this project was a half-meter of white faux fur! I'm really proud of how he turned out, and I'd love if you'd check out the step-by-step tutorial video here

The bulk of the volume of the Bumble Butler is cardboard and last year's Christmas giftwrap. I also used some scrap wood, air dry clay, and 1/2 meter of faux fur.
